What’s inside …
In our first issue of KICK PUNCH BLOCK (check out our five reasons to buy the zine), we talk a little bit about the one-of-a-kind game Catherine. The demo went public a few days ago, and a couple of us here downloaded it to get a glimpse of the pre-love triangle protagonist, Vincent.

The demo contains a lot of cutscene—Vincent with his girlfriend Katherine, Vincent and his friends discussing Katherine, and his meeting (and first night alone with) the bouncy blonde flirt Catherine (with a capital “C”). The anime-style graphics looked amazing, but the part we were most excited for was the gameplay.
My sincerest thanks to those day-one buyers and everyone who helped promote the magazine over Facebook, Twitter, etc. A lot of hard work went into the issue, so every effort and kind word is highly appreciated.

A few things you might be wondering about …
As mentioned, a ton of work (several months’ worth) went into making this thing—and most of that was revision. When I sat down to make this magazine, I was teaching myself just about everything. Sure, MagCloud (the self-publishing service) makes it easier by handling the printing and binding and distribution parts, but I now have a huge appreciation for those who work for mainstream magazines and publish 100+ pages of content every single month. Hats off to them. Seriously.
So any support greatly helps. Remember, you’re not helping to further the career of some big-shot or celebrity or rich person. I’m just a regular girl with unhealthy determination and tolerance for hard work.
Hello there! Thanks for visiting the official website of our magazine, KICK PUNCH BLOCK. Right now we’re hard at work on completing our first issue.
